We built this because we needed it ourselves
Zenotriavelo started when a few of us got tired of business courses that taught theory but skipped the practical bits. We wanted something different — courses that showed you how things actually work, not just how they should work in textbooks.
What we're trying to do here
Most online business education feels like sitting through lectures you'd find in a university from the 1990s. We think that's backwards. The way companies make money has changed completely in the past decade, but course content hasn't kept up.
So we focus on current frameworks. The subscription models that SaaS companies use. The platform economics that marketplaces rely on. The bundling strategies you see in tech. These aren't theoretical concepts — they're patterns you can spot in businesses around you right now.
Everything we put together is designed for people who are working full-time or running something on the side. Short modules you can finish in 30 minutes. No fluff. No motivational speeches about your potential.
The people making this happen
Amara Kowalski
Founder & Lead Instructor
Spent eight years building pricing models for subscription companies before realizing she was better at explaining them than implementing them. Now teaches revenue architecture to people who don't have MBAs.
Silas Voss
Course Developer
Former strategy consultant who got bored of PowerPoint decks and started creating interactive case studies instead. Believes the best way to learn business models is to tear apart real ones and see what breaks.
How we think about teaching
No hand-waving
When we explain a business model, we show you the actual numbers. Unit economics. Customer acquisition costs. Retention curves. The stuff that determines whether a model works or falls apart.
Examples over theory
Every lesson starts with a real company doing something interesting. Then we break down why their approach works and where the weak points are. Theory comes after you've seen it in action.
Built for schedules
Our longest module is 45 minutes. Most are under 30. We get that you're fitting this around work, kids, or whatever else is going on. You shouldn't need to block out entire evenings to learn something useful.
Current, not classic
We update course content quarterly because business models evolve fast. What worked for SaaS companies in 2020 looks different now. We track those changes so you're learning patterns that still apply.
Questions welcome
If something doesn't make sense, you can ask. We respond to every email and run weekly office hours where you can bring specific questions about the material or your own projects.
No certification promises
We don't offer certificates or credentials. What you get is a clearer understanding of how different business models generate revenue. That's it. If you need a certificate for your resume, this isn't the right fit.
